The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood is a story of a young archer, Robin Hood, who along with his band of Merry Men indulges in various adventures. They help the poor, steal from the rich and fight for justice.

 

Black Beauty is a fictional ‘autobiography’ of a horse. The story traces his carefree days on an English farm, his difficult life pulling cabs in London, and his happy retirement. The hardships, cruelty, and kindness he experiences teach a new lesson and moral every time.
Gulliver’s Travels is a satire novel that criticizes human nature and many social and political vices of the 17th century. Written as a travel account, it is the story of a fictitious person, Lemuel Gulliver, who sets out on a sea voyage and lands on strange places among strange people.
Heidi is the story of a charming, little orphan who is left under the care of her grumpy grandfather in the Swiss Alps. She soon wins her grandfather’s heart, and makes friends with Peter and his goats. One day, Heidi’s aunt takes her away to Frankfurt to live with a rich family and their invalid daughter, Clara.

Little Women is the story of four sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March, who live with their Mother. In the times of the civil war, the sisters struggle for financial, domestic and emotional stability. Amidst many hardships of life they still manage to keep their family love intact and are able to find happiness.

Peter Pan is a story of a boy who never grew up. Peter Pan visits the three children of the Darling family and takes them to Neverland, where a war between Peter’s gang of Lost boys and the evil pirate, Captain Hook, takes place.

Pinocchio is a story of a wooden puppet. He is mischievous but gains wisdom through his adventures and ultimately rewarded with a human life.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a story of a girl named Dorothy, who is whisked away with her dog by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. They begin a journey to meet the Wizard of Oz, and are joined by a Scarecrow, a Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion.
